My name is Cristiana Sartori and I have been an organic farmer in Lomellina since 1998. The “DiCristiana” farm is my daily commitment to a sustainable planet. I cultivate Carnaroli rice and rice crops in rotation, such as soy, protein pea, buckwheat, in addition to millet, the ancient "panicum" that gave rise to the traditional panizze, popular soups from which the historic Italian risotto evolved .

Mine is a small company that shares the saying "good wine is in a small barrel": so organic rice is grown on a small area (from 5 to 10 hectares at most every year on a total of 30 hectares) in the province of Pavia. As a good hostess, as well as agronomist, I take care of my fields like a garden, from sowing to harvesting. I also personally collect the ingredients for my "risottini", the wrinkled rose petals and the tender leaves of the nettle, strictly organic.

I believe in female entrepreneurship, including agriculture - especially agriculture! - and in 2013 “TRA LE TERRE - Guardians of emotions” was born, the first all-female business network dedicated to charitable initiatives in favor of women. The values ​​are the same that I inherited from my great-grandmother Delfina: courage, creativity and innovation.

There is no eco-agriculture without innovation.

The choice of organic farming requires courage, perseverance and study. It is not just an act of love for my land and my children: it is a dedication that passes through years of study, experimentation, updating.
