We are a group of friends making natural wines in the Balaton Uplands in extremely small quantities. Started in 2017 as a side project we decided to take over an old vineyard and make our first barrel. Now in the small village of Barnag, we still practice our own style of experimental, low-intervention, hands-off winemaking. As a result, we get surprising and unusual wines.
Wines are unusual in many ways. The labels are based, for example, on a 16th-century etching that depicts immoderation of the seven major sins.
Of the three wines made from last year’s vintage, rosé is the entry category. Three varieties - blue franc, zweigelt, and blauburger - from a single plantation, harvested at the same time, spontaneously fermented, and then unfiltered, without clarification, bottled with minimal sulfur. The extra thing is that all 839 pressure-resistant bottles were sealed with a crown closure, which is common in beers, but very strange in wines.
